In a world that praises nonstop growth and perfection, many professionals feel stuck when life doesn’t go according to plan. What if we stopped expecting life to be a straight line and embraced the beauty of its cycles instead?
This is the idea behind The Four Seasons of Change, the heart of my coaching approach and the foundation of my upcoming book. Inspired by nature’s rhythms, this method offers a more compassionate and effective way to understand where you are in your personal or professional journey, and what to do next.
🌱 Spring – The Season of New Beginnings
Spring invites us to plant seeds. It’s the time for ideas, inspiration, and taking the first steps, even if you’re unsure. In career transitions, spring might look like re-evaluating your goals or exploring new paths. There’s hope, but also hesitation. The key is to stay curious and allow space for possibility.
Ask yourself: What is calling me to begin again?
☀️ Summer – The Season of Growth and Confidence
Summer is about action. It’s when momentum builds and we’re in the flow. But like any hot summer, there are storms. Doubts, impostor syndrome, or overcommitment can surface. This season teaches us to anchor into what energizes us and to build confidence through aligned action.
Ask yourself: What helps me shine without burning out?
🍂 Fall – The Season of Transition
Fall is a time to harvest and to let go. You may be reflecting on what’s working and what’s not. You might be facing decisions, endings, or shifts in direction. It's a powerful moment to reassess your values and make room for what truly matters.
Ask yourself: What do I need to release to move forward?
❄️ Winter – The Season of Reflection and Renewal
Winter is the most misunderstood season. It’s not about stagnation, it’s about integration. It’s when we pause, turn inward, and find clarity in stillness. In career or life transitions, winter offers the rest needed to make aligned choices when the time is right.
Ask yourself: What is this quiet phase trying to teach me?
🎻 Embracing Your Own Rhythm
Like Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, your life and career move in cycles. Some moments will call you to act; others will invite you to rest. Every season has a purpose, and none last forever.
So ask yourself: Which season am I in right now? And what does this season need from me?
